Bethlehem’s Boyd Theatre is sold for $1.35 million

Bethlehem's Boyd Theater once housed four stores, a basement night club, second-floor offices and the historic theater. The theater seated nearly 1,200.
Boutiques One Properties Realtor Lucy Lennon, represented both the developer and owner Joyce Heydt, said no decisions have been made about how to use the property. She believes that the developer is not looking to reopen a movie theater. Possibilities include retail and "an art center."
Lennon said Heydt, whose Valley Theaters Inc. owned the building, chose to sell because she believed the developer will turn the property, which her family owned for nearly half of its existence, into "something very special" and not demolish it for parking.
